Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

May 31, 2008

Besides having a most excellent time reading a most excellent book, I’ve also had the fortune of watching a most excellent movie starring the most triumphant Keanu Reeves.

Some random lines from the most bodacious dialogue:

“Bogus. Heinous. Most non-triumphant. Oh, Ted, don’t be dead, dude. (sees the guard that killed Ted enter the kitchen, and yells) You killed Ted you medieval d*ckweed! Ahhh!!!!”

“Oh, you beautiful babes from England, for whom we have traveled through time…Will you go to the Prom with us in San Dimas? We will have a most triumphant time!”

And of course -

“Be excellent to each other. And party on, dudes!”

Random Picture Post.

May 22, 2008

Alright.

‘Fess up now. Who’d like to poke the hippo just to see some wobbly (re)action, eh?

I would.

Anyways. Some belated Sondre Lerche pictures. They’ve been hastily selected and edited, so pardon the shoddy work.

I tell you, Barnes and I were totally on the edges of our seats that night. Bouncing away like how kangaroos and bunnies do.

Delirious time.

Okay folks, at this juncture, we must all thank Barnes’ super-awesome camera with the what, 10X megapixel zoom? I used to think that 5X was good enough for ordinary people – but evidently I was so very wrong. My humble canon 5X was just unable to match up to Barnes’ 10X function.

I give you, thunderous applause.

Solid sia.

Alright, the below two are sourced from fellow fans who were there that night. Credit goes to them (found them on flickr). Awesome stuff, these shots.

And this is my favourite. He was singing Maybe You’re Gone.

Sigh.

Oh look what I found in the depths of my BlackApple.

And finally -

How peculiarly random.

Narrow Stairs.

May 17, 2008

Death Cab For Cutie’s latest album is out.

It’s different. Hmm. But anyways, Grapevine Fires is just. Argh. Hauntingly brilliant. Or maybe it’s because I think I generally like depressing, destructive and descriptive music. 3d songs that border on the melodrama, y’all.

Yeah, that announcement was the purpose of this entry.

Some pseudo-philosophical, wannabe intelligent-sounding-ish lyrics that are sung awesomely (from Nine Inch Nails, thanks to box’):

What if everything around you,
Isn’t quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is that all you want to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks,
Would you find yourself, find yourself afraid to see?

What if all the worlds inside of your head,
Just creations of your own?
Your devils and your Gods, all the living and the dead
And you’re really all alone?
You could live in this illusion
You can choose to believe
You keep looking but you can’t find the woods
While you’re hiding in the trees

I like that last bit.

Aiyo. What a pointless entry.

Blackcurrent Jam Is The Nicest Jam.

May 3, 2008

Blackcurrent jam is the nicest jam
The nicest jam you can have
You can have, you can have
You can have, you can have

And in the olden times they would put it on wounds

You can have strawberry
You can have blueberry
You can have raspberry
You can have

Blackcurrent jam is the nicest jam
The nicest jam you could have

And in the olden times they would put it on wounds
And in the olden times they would put it on wounds

You can have strawberry
You can have blueberry
You can have raspberry
You can have

And in the olden times they would put it on wounds

Grizzly Bear – Blackcurrent Jam

This is one heck of a song I tell ya. It’s sung in such a serious and earnest and morose manner. And it’s all about blackcurrent jam.

(Which is the nicest jam. Aww.)

Swell or not I ask you. Wahlaueh.

Anyways, school’s out – for good. Gasp. Unbelievable. I believe I’m having some sort of anomic crisis now.

Hmm.

So anyways, which one would you like, huh?

You can have strawberry
You can have blueberry
You can have raspberry
I’ll have the blackcurrency.

(Poor attempt at being witty, I know. It must be the anomie.)
