Hello to more papers about onling gaming and supermassive black holes.

Cheese just made my day just a little more bearable.
As usual I can’t tell why, because it involves Bleed[ing] Your Cedar.
THANKS A MILLION! :)
Get well soon k. ♥

There’s something that I’ve wanted to say for a really, really long time.
[edited out for choice of expression.]
A long time ago, I became rather familiar with the term restrained.
Today, I got up close and personal with relieved instead.

I wish I were present at the SXSW in Texas.
‘Nuff said.

Its times like this when my insides are churning wildly and dramatically because I feel really stupid this semester.
Especially when you feel absolutely clueless about the subject you’re majoring in.
Ah well.
-
Shuangz is a lifesaver as usual. What will I do without you? :)
-
And we’ll all float on OK, says Modest Mouse.
-
And I love love love Christina Aguilera. Back to Basics is an awfully good album, you know. Check it out, yo.
-
Thankssszzxxx for da S to the OY Lattes, J. :)

Loves the video.
I feel faint everytime I think of soci this semester. Urgh.

That there is a band called Singapore Sling who hail from Reykjavik, Iceland.
Very synth-ish, piercing and lazy drawlings that is nearly jarring. But not quite.

Memorable quote of the day -
me: Damn I can’t believe subway ran out of bread. I’m absolutely starving. Ah!
alien: Fancy a nibble on my arm?
-
I’m actively procrastinating and I don’t think that’s good.
Deep sigh.

I read it and I couldn’t help but drop my jaw in incredulity.
I just hope this doesn’t get read by the ah, relevant people. S wrote this and posted this online to someone who’s australian.
-
yo – i have the urge to become australian after hearing the song with the following lyrics:
we are one, but we are many,
and from all the land on earth we come,
we share a dream, and sing with one voice,
i am, you are, we are australian
-
Antony & The Johnsons are awesome.

After all
These implements
And texts designed by intellects
So vexed to find
Evidently there’s still so much that hides
And though
The saints dub us divine
In ancient fading lines
Their sentiment is just as hard to
Pluck from the vine
I’ll try hard not to pretend
Allow myself no mock defense
As I step into the night
Since I don’t have time nor mind
To figure out the nursery rhymes
That helped us out in making sense of our lives
The cruel, uneventful state
of apathy releases me
I value them but I won’t cry every time one’s wiped out
I’ll try hard not to give in
Batten down to fare the wind
Rid my head of this pretense
Allow myself no mock defense
As I step into the night
Mercy’s eyes are blue
And when she places them
In front of you
Nothing holds a
Roman candle to
The solemn warmth you feel, inside
There’s no measuring of it as nothing else is love
The Shins - Saint Simon

Can’t get this song out of my head. Perhaps its slightly sociological, hmm?
Mercy’s eyes are blue.. My favourite, favouritest set of lines.
Plain, but hey, when Mercer sings it, its just too beautiful to resist. ♥

M&M cushions are very comfy, are they not.

So says my lecturer.
Anyways, let me relate to you the most absurd conversation ever.
S: Do you know who’s Suzanne T.?
me: Err, who’s that?
S: Well she’s from the United States and she worked in and Japan for a couple of years, and now she’s working in the UK.
me: (thinking: zomgwtfbbq?!?!?!) Err, aaanddd?
S: Well, thought you might know her.
me: Well, not at all. What’s this got to do with me?
S: She mentioned she’s got a few friends in Singapore.
me: …
S: (Shrug) Well, just thought I might get lucky.
me: Aahhh. Ehhh that’s just preeettttyyy extrapolated, don’t you think.
S: *mutters something I can’t remember*
And there you have it. The most random conversation ever with a rather err, interesting fella currently on exchange in hk.

Its funny seeing June in sunny ol’ Singapore, but it doesn’t feel as awkward as I expected. After awhile, it was just like back in the land of dim sum. But this time, he’s better in mandarin, and tried his pickup lines on the supermarket lady.
It was, absolutely classic.
Korean fellas seem to ooze charm when talking to middle aged ladies. No wonder they all swoon. First hand experience seeing them swoon, y’all.
-
I have daisy hi-lo milk in m’ah fridge, folio baby! Fabulous.
-
/Edit: June says that my surname means bean in korean. How cool is that? :)
Signing off with an eye that gleams,
This has been, Miss Bean.
